There's no way to create a rainbow without refracting light, that's how a real rainbow is made.

so i was lying when i said someone couldn't possibly produce a picture or video of the earth that you'd accept as proof? because literally any time someone does you just say something along the lines of "trick lenses and Photoshop aren't proof" without actually proving they are Photoshop or a trick lens. that's about as illogical as you can get, discounting proof with dismissal rather than actual facts.

A picture was enough to convince you, Ive seen enough video that shows flatness even at 120,000 feet and a wide angle lense can make that into the curve.

I'm not saying I believe this, I'm not really sure what to believe anymore tbh,. I'm just sayin.

The water droplets are refracting the light. I thought that was common knowledge. It's a well-established and easily demonstrated fact that water refracts light.
If he was saying that rainbows are not produced through light refraction, then he's either saying that rainbows don't exist (unlikely, since they've been observed by just about everybody) or that rainbows are a product of some completely different mechanism than currently proposed by science. If that's the case, I'm open to hearing all about this mechanism and seeing the experiments supporting it. God knows we have enough of those for light refraction.
