Its very logical since the air gets thinner the higher up you go.

In any case I only asked if that was the case what would air be like be like in the FE model since the top of the atmosphere is right by the Ice wall according to your theories.
In your own words you have never been to the Ice wall so can't say for sure

I'm more curious how the atmosphere causes the sun to appear the same size as it moves away towards "sunset"
By you own guess the water in the atmosphere is in gas form which does/can not cause magnification
