Not sure what map your referring to and I never said all people. Chinese astrologers still accepted flat earth until a century after geocentricity had been replaced with heliocentric model in Europe. I'm talking about how Europe and middle eastern society in general was aware of the shape of earth from around 300bc to 500ad on but believed the sun and stars circled the earth. The only thing that changed around 1500 was the knowledge earth rotates sun, nothing whatsoever changed about the belief of the shape of earth itself at that time.
The maps were from the previous page. You say your not talking about
all people but in the next sentence you claim "Europe and middle eastern society in general" which is just disproving yourself. You didn't address my point about Copernicus getting the circumference of the earth wrong, you didn't address my point of why it took nearly 2000 years for "people" to discover the world we know - yet claim that everyone knew it, which totally doesn't make any sense. One of the reason Christopher Columbus left Spain is because the Queen thought his idea that the earth being a ball was silly, so she was not a believer. And the only reason the Vatican agreed is because it fit into their plan and knew there was more land. The reason the pilgrims actually left England was because England had adopted the Copernican Model and i hardly think the difference between a geocentric ball earth and a heliocentric ball earth would be enough to cry Religious foul and make someone drop their life and sail over the ocean.

Prove it.
The utter lack of proof is all the proof i need.
Only lamen of the olden times beleived the earth was flat, hey just like modern times.
Name one government or religious entity that claimed otherwise.
I dare you.
Burden of proof is on you, you're the one making the claim and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Please post proof you read everything every goverment ever said in the last 5000 years.
