You need like 1800 calories just for your basic metabolic functions lol. You need to consume more on top of that in order to maintain your weight. At 370 lbs, without doing any exercise you could lose weight eating 3500 calories a day.

Maintaining mass is a significant energy requirement in of itself. That's why a bigger dude has to eat more to keep on being a big dude.

Fairly accurate calculator of your basal metabolic rate, although just an estimate: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

Work that out, and that's (roughly) the amount of you calories you burn at rest, doing nothing. Add a few hundred calories for just walking around and doing stuff.

This calculator estimates how many calories you need to just maintain your weight: http://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html (You can put the option as BMR but you burn more than that even on your ass, so 'sedentary' would be more accurate.)

Maybe I was exaggerating with 3500 calories, but definitely 3000 you'd lose weight on. The only thing I may have assumed is that you don't have an underactive thyroid...

I read it the first time I read the thread yesterday but it didn't stick in my memory. It still doesn't have a massive effect on your metabolism, it's not like without that condition you'd be 170 lbs is it? I wasn't shaming, unless that constitutes everyone that disagrees with your defeatist perspective.

This may surprise you, but I dont actually eat much lol. Just eat really bad at bad times of day and I stopped taking my synthroid like 2 years ago and do literally 0 physical exercise. Its not the weed, its just my lack of caring lol
