I got my USB Cam in the mail today. This little thing connects directly to a laptop, and attaches to the eyepiece of the Telescope so it allows me to take photos from my laptop, and because it's attached it stays focused and allows me to get the picture in the best quality :)
As soon as the skies clear up I can't wait to try it.

can you get any planets? i know you said jupiter and uranus would be hard because of distance but what about any of the others?

Neptune and Uranus are very far.
I can get a fantastic view of Jupiter through my eye but I haven't been able to get a good picture due to my camera not focusing properly because of the brightness of Jupiter, so it comes out as a giant ball of light. But through my eyes it's a beautiful planet with its bands visible.
Saturn and Jupiter I will get for you guys real soon. It's been months that Saturn has been hiding too close to the sun (and I'd go blind if I look at the sun through a scope.. yikes!)
Saturn is actually rising early morning now, I haven't been able to get it, but on my birthday (the 19th) Saturn will be paired up right near the moon in the night sky, seeing it's rings for the first time would be the best birthday present. I hope for clear skies.

I had a telescope once, but it was so low grade and clearly made for an 8 year old i dont think it actually worked.

Lol I always wanted one of those when I was younger but never had one. This was my first telescope.

You'd see the stars a little closer if you were lucky ;)
