If they were going to get paid just to show up, then why not also win? Getting paid to lose is one thing because it requires follow-thru, such as losing, but getting paid to show up means the outcome doesn't matter. So why wouldn't you want to win instead of lose? Also do you think it was scripted to break his jaw?

Let's just say the original agreement was for jake to win. well it didn't happen because the other dude went off script, so, no longer a scripted fight.

My point is though that if you were going to pay someone 100m to show up, then why would you want to lose?

Or am I missing info and Jake was the one that was getting paid to lose? To my understanding it would be the other guy to get paid to lose.
