Highly recommend getting something like Rokwell 6s with different plates to make you a better shaver. This is the type of razor your dad and grandad used.

Today we are spoiled for choice with better quality razors.

they dont cut as far down so less chance for bumps. hardened blades will last much longer and replacements are cheap. 100 blades is the cost of like 6 disposables

what works exceptionally well is olive oil soap and its cheap. when i shave i rub the olive soap oil bar on my face instead of foam it will leave a smear of soap on the skin with almost no foam. when you are done shaving the skin is smooth, oil free and zero bumps. its called castile soap aka olive oil soap. i make a single batch per year and get around 35 bars for 30 dollars using 1 gallon of oil. you can also use it as a shampoo and the results are excellent. so you can use it as a shaving cream, a body soap and a shampoo.

Thanks I'll look into that. Thats dirt cheap but I am not concerned about saving $10 a year. I am more interested in the quality and performance of the product.

Which is why I prefer creams over soaps. With soap you have to soak it in water for 5-10 mins, then get it lathered in a bowl then lather your face before you even begin shaving. With cream you can face lather and save yourself 10 mins every time you shave. I like shaving but not at the expense of so much time. If you add it up that's basically 16hrs of my time per year on this extra step alone. No thanks the entire shave should be under 10mins otherwise you are just fucking around imho

the performance is actually what im after, disregard the cost its still the highest quality product that is often overlooked. the downside is you need to self produce it, but you can control the quality of every ingredient like by adding coco butter and coconut oil and superfatting the batch by 5%. its by far the best quality product at the lowest cost that no one uses.

Realistically I am not going to make it myself as I barely know how to cook. Is there perhaps a similar product on the market? Also I got to ask what are you comparing this with? Have you sampled over 20 high end shaving creams to confidently say its better than anything out there? Because if you are comparing this to some cheap Gillette soap that doesn't inspire confidence.

I am still interested but need to see it in action. Maybe you have a video shaving one side of the face with your product vs the other side say with a reputable brand like Southern Witchcrafs?
