The question: using this logic, and considering the fact that flat Earthers prosecuted people like Giordano Bruno and Galileo Galilei, isn't the rage of flat Earthers evidence for globe Earth?
I think both of those cases had to do with the Roman Catholic Church raging because thinking it might diminish their power, (which it did really)
but since Heliocentricity was pushed by the King Of England and taught as truth and England went on to conquer the world really, Rome has accepted their diminished role.
This is basically what is happening right now, people rage and misunderstanding when you try to change the status quo.
There is a fear that accepting Flat Earth means going back to 1500 Church rule where we burned witches and that just ridiculous strawman fear from people who are to afraid to actually think for themselves.
Its like when these people that claim "millions of people" are involved and this is yet another ridiculous idea, its just a handful of people telling everyone what to think and that they will be nice to you if you believe in Gravity when there is no actual prove for it existing.

Its just Universities telling kids they are smart if they believe in their Heros, x by 500 years. and then Some Nazi scientists being brought to usa after the war who starting programs like the CIA and modern NASA.
