So you believe in a God but no messiah. That is fine ultimately tho Jesus is a fictional character in a sense it isnt even remotely close to the real name of the man that scriptures talk about. Obviously quoting scripture does not help one to believe. So he was a wack job who was out of his mind. Yet so determined to go die on the cross for you without even knowing you. Could some of the stories about this man be exaggerated? Yes does that make the life of that man entirely false? Not at all.

The belief system is a trust system. With out the faith of knowing something exists without 100% evidence is the point. Anything can be used to control the masses even fear it is not just religion.
