Microbes feeding on moisture in your tongue are the reason for a dry tongue. In lieu of that microbes feeding on your saliva ducts could be another factor.
unless you literally are not drinking or eating anything w/ moisture - you simply need to drink something that has moisture and that kills off the microbes.
thats called homemade tea: boiling cold poured water and adding a medicinal herb or spice. cloves, ginger, mint anything like that.
