that is less than 6 hours a day
with an 8 hour work day he'd still have 6 hours of sleep and 4 hours of being with his wife/kid
What man has the patience to spend 4 hours with a wife? No man does.
Ever been around a woman in child birth? It's the 9-month long PMS of pregnancy at it's peak, and nobody can handle that.
