I’m 30...for the past 6 years or so I’ve been always excellent friends with a single malt called Laphroaig. It’s a peaty scotch, goes great with everything and it’s my favorite drink.

The 25 year is pricey but so tasty
My go to is the 10- runs at 66 (with taxes)- it’s my go to
I stashed bottles of 16 year because it is limited. It’s all good stuff
Cheers to all of you!

What’s nas? I like lagavulin too! It’s a bit heavy...laphroaig 16 is too- it’s gotta be an occasion and not too much. It’s 48%. Older scotches tend to be strong. 1-2 cups take me out and I’m def not a light weight by any means

non-age statement. for many distilleries its their lowest/cheapest of the range. although for ardbeg, another favorite by us, most of theirs are NAS, and the 10 year that is is their lowest, i think. a lot of distilleries are moving to NAS as they are running out of older stock as they didnt predict the demand 20 years ago that there would be now.

Who knows what we get in the bottles anymore tbh...it’s crazy- I know the 10 laphroaig’s vary in taste which is a good sign. Price has increased over the past few years. I don’t drink whiskeys without an age tbh- I’ll have some blue label once in awhile but I have it on ice. All my scotch I drink on stones.

One thing I can tell you for sure. I’m 30 now- I dipped and dabbled in many “evils”. Nothing is as evil as alcohol. If we pulled out a bottle on Diablo in the chaos sancuarty, believe you me, he’d take out a white flag

NAS isnt neccessarily bad. like i said, most ardbeg isnt, and theyre very good. give the uigedail a try some time. while NAS is sometimes used to cover up younger not as good whiskys, its not always the case.
