I didn't present any strawman arguments. You aren't the brightest tool in the shed, so it's understandable that you have no idea what a "strawman" is. A strawman argument is when you falsely attribute a claim to your opponent and then show why that claim is false, when your opponent never made that claim to begin with. Seeing as how I neither attributed any claims to anybody, nor proved any claims false, nothing in my post was even remotely related to a strawman. I actually agreed with his claim that a 1 foot periscope can see a circle of water with a radius of about a mile. I then explained why that's irrelevant and why periscopes are still useful. And lastly, I pointed out that on a flat earth a periscope would see the entire ocean, which it does not in real life.

What you said about the horizon is nonsensical so I'm not sure how to answer. The horizon is not due to the fact that "it's up or down". I'm not sure what that even means. The horizon is the edge of the visible portion of the sphere. If you weren't mentally disabled, you could look at any ball, anywhere, and see a horizon.
