IIRC penguin asked a moderator for permission beforehand and specifically requested in thread to keep all comments positive. Of course everyone here is free to do whatever they want, but the site already has "no flaming allowed" rule set in even without this special request that penguin made. So, if you want to be negative, go ahead but you'll have to accept the consequences without any complaints. Finally, it is entirely possible to have a discussion about political and controversial topics without being mean-spirited. I see no point in discussing this any further because the rules are there and you're already aware of them.

I'll leave this topic alone now, I was just trying to point out the obvious hypocrisy and special privileges certain users on this site get to enjoy.

i had to succumb to the mods because they closed my thread because of how badly it was being spammed. this thread we are in is impervious to being closed, no matter how much people spam it. they might as well sticky it
