any person who bases their factual understanding of the universe on what makes others upset is mentally ill.

my new years resolution (one of many) is to not pick on those who are mentally ill, feels too much like punching down no matter how much of a shitbird card is.

the hard truth is were dealing with someone who's really really sick, their entire worldview is based on paranoia, anxiety, and a deep seeded need to be different than everyone else. this person was likely bullied for these traits, which further reinforced them all that much more.

the facts and science arent what matters, the fact that card CANT stop seeing the earth as flat is what matters. no amount of factual debate can change this. as long as someone is debating at all, card will maintain his position. its the only reason he thinks hes right.

its been a fun few years on this stale topic, and i know you wont listen, but card you should seek help. your level of defiant disorder and paranoid delusions will negatively impact your life and more importantly your family's lives. the path you're on will hurt far more than you. the "truth" you seek may result in an utter lack of people in your life. if you've prepared for that and are ok with it, then by all means continue.

just for one second, if you can, wrestle with the implication that defiance and anxiety could be shaping your worldview, rather than reality.

Card_sultan saying "My proof is how mad globe-earthers get" is just more proof that he doesn't really believe himself anymore.
He used to say that his belief was based on hard evidence. He then stopped posting evidence. He now has even stopped saying that there is evidence at all.

The only reason why he's still arguing is because he's too stubborn to give in.

i used to think the same, ive changed my mind. i now legit think card is mentally ill and we're all just reinforcing his worldview (read:mental illness) via this and many more topics.

well sorta, flat earth shit in the sci fi section went back a lot further on several topics. was also constantly tied into chemtrails and other conspiracy theories.

honestly tho the topic doesnt matter, all of his conspiracy theories stem from the same place. the govt is lying to us all, and he needs to seek the truth. all reinforced by echo chamber videos that only pass face validity due to an utter lack of scientific education beyond maybe high school.
