His reaction is because the experiment does not confirm the hypothesis. Your logic:

1. The hypothesis is: Sun travels above the flat earth, and when sun travels far away from our point of view, it goes below our horizon.
2. Here's a video of the sun going below the horizon.
3. The video proves the hypothesis.

This would only be correct if you would be able to prove that the sun is still higher than the viewer's point of view at the time it disappears below the horizon, or if the video could show that the earth between the viewer and the sun's location is completely flat. As long as this is not done, the video is not valid as proof.

Almost. According to flat-Earthers, math can only be used for theoretical formulas. You cannot use it in any scenarios that apply to real world observations. Using math in the flat/globe earth argument automatically makes you lose.
