Man the weather has been shit lately. Haven't been able to go out and take any pictures of anything really.
Unfortunate because Comet Catalina was it's closest to Earth this weekend 110 million kilometers from Earth moving at 212,000 km/h. It will not return for another 150,000 years.

Tonight I decided to take my telescope out since the skies were nice and clear.
And boy am I happy I took it out tonight.
I photographed this image of Jupiter, but what makes this so special for me, personally, is that I FINALLY photographed the Great Red Spot!! (left of the planet on this picture!)
It has been a personal goal of mine and I'm so happy I achieved this. It's special for me, and this is probably my favourite photo I've taken thus far.
The Great Red Spot is a anti-cyclonic storm (similar to Earth's hurricane) and it has been persistent for at least 400 years! So big 3 Earth's could fit inside this gigantic storm!!
