Night Sky Shots - Topic

first picture of 2016 taken several minutes ago, through my telescope with my nikon d3200 DSLR.
real cold out there, got 1 picture this was it, clouds came in afterwards so i just packed up and went in.
Sirius the brightest star in our sky, such a beauty to look at, the only picture i was able to get actually came out good i think.

You didnt know this? When you look at the edge of the universe it is 14.5 billion light years away. That means it took nearly that amount of time for that light to reach us. The universe expands everyday and stars explode and galaxies collide. Such phenomena so hard to explain and how we can ever be so precise on determining things that we dont have 100% knowledge about
