His English is probably really bad and decided to fix it up with AI. I've seen that many times on this forum, especially. Also, I use emdashes all the time (but admittedly I only started when I noticed how funny it was that AI frequently used them all the time).

What's the general consensus as to why LLMs love to use emdashes? I assume because the training data is from scholarly works where emdashes frequently appear?

Huh yeah I think you're right about the training data being scholarly works. It's why ai often sounds overly formal. When students start emails like "I trust this missive finds you well" it's just obvious heh.

I would encourage you to keep it for later. As time passes, wounds will heal and you may find yourself able and wanting to come back. Also - if you do come back, that is totally cool and remember that you can always change your mind.
If you are absolutely dead set on giving away fg, I wouldn't mind accepting it. I keep my fg total low and generally give it to people short on fg when I see them purchasing something, so it wouldn't go to waste. I would just prefer not to private message and instead be transparent with intent.
