It's just looks like milk. Probably a marketing spin by vegans to try provide alternatives to animal products. They also call vegan meat as an alternative even though it has 0 meat and is mostly soy and chemicals.

unsweetened has no sugar which is pre cool. idrank some for a few months but am back to cow milk
