i was thinking of getting solar panels for electricity. my uncle did a couple months ago and waiting to see how it worked for him.


Nope only when the sun is out. Have hot water heater on a timer it runs from like 7pm-10am

I was thinking of making a solar water heater for my hot tub...I bet that would keep it pretty hot...

Actually they were my dads that he is letting me use. The one I should have done tomorrow needed some work done to it to work again.
There are many videos on YT about how to make them for you to check out.

It’s scalding hot for me in Hawaii. Can’t run it full hot or I will burn myself.

For solar hot water it’s not much of a setup, you just put the panels on your roof similar to PV and then hook it up inline with your hot water system. Prolly gonna want to hire someone unless you feel confident in your plumbing and sealing penetrations on the roof

our neighbor has a tesla roof. it produces so much energy they can power their entire house with it, including heating. they even have enough surplus energy to sell some of it to the power company.
