So is the firmament a dome that completely encircles the Earth?
Because for your model to work it would require the firmament rotating around the center, but also moving in off-directions so we see stars in different locations each night.
it is always "slow voice talk" with people who refuse to conduct any research and need to be spoon fed everything...
so, take a flat disc item like a large dinner plate or ceramic pizza tray, then grab a large bowl or colander or similar item and place it down on the plate/tray (face down, not up) this represents the dome/firmament.
now place hand on the top of the upturned bowl/colander and turn it clockwise, this represents the dome rotating each day, and the stars are attached (on the inside of the upturned bowl)....polaris is in the center of the bowl and never moves even when bowl rotates.
ok?
