I'm surprised you do not smoke solely solventless like myself, any BHO or CO2 extracted type oils have trace if not measurable amounts of the solvents used remaining in the wax.
As for dabbing process I do the same thing, no specific amount of seconds to wait or nothing..
I usually get about 10-12 dabs out of a gram sometimes about 5 sometimes more like 15
