Bought some Japanese booster boxes a few years ago but just learned that scambags in Japan reseal boxes after weighing and picking out the good packs and I'm not 100% confident in my boxes anymore .

Gonna still hold on to them but o well, I hate scammers...

how do you pick out good packs based on weight? I can't imagine some cards weight more than others. they're all the same size.

those japanese boxes are a gamble for sure.
they'll use a solvent to remove the lot number and replace it, reseal the boxes has improved too.
even those rip open tamper proof boxes, they just go in the side of the box and re-glue it.

It's wild, sometimes they don't even put the right cards back into the pack to make it look legit.

Desirable cards with hologram weigh more. You need a precision scale.
