Like saying - the "educated" knew the Earth was a sphere for 2300 years without mentioning that 99.9% of people couldn't read but that doesnt mean they were dumb - it just means they weren't indoctrinated.



In fact the main reason the Pilgrims left England was because they outlawed the flat Earth and killed the priests and tortured anyone who didn't comply and they are still doing it today - but of course they dont wanna talk about that fact.

So you would offer that article as proof schools taught flat earth and this ebenezer breach managed to convict and change the curriculum of one particular rebel school that taught otherwise in 1899?

i never said all schools while your inferring that i meant all schools. Classic B&W thinking. The article only means that this school did and is meant to show that it existed for people that claim no one ever taught the earth is flat (Like Brian Cox and people here have said).

So whenever anyone says that, you'll know that the are coming from a place of ignorance and assumption since ball earthers like to use consensus, popular opinion and mockery as their main source of info.

It is my contention that Flat Earth is not strictly a "bible" thing so it only makes sense you try to insert it is because that narrative would fit your narrow thinking and bias.

No school referenced in the article taught flat earth. This ebenezer was trying to eliminate the teaching of globe earth in schools. I could find no evidence of any outcome of his attempt to outlaw teaching globe earth.

Ebenezer was the Head of the British Education Department and was on the Portsmouth school board [some place in Minnesota] (infers he worked at one school not trying to impose his views on all schools) I know someone on a school board and its only one school, but back then idk could have been a few but in 1900 there wasn't a ton of schools like today. And to claim he was a bible thumper is just an outright ad-hom because the church has taught the earth was a sphere for a long time - the church and astro-science have controlled your opinion for a long time as well - their both the same in that regard and you are fooled to think are you have a valid choice between them , just like elections , coke or pepsi, mcdonalds or burger king - keep choosing that B&W thinking dude.
