i have stopped going to nearly all fast food unless its an emergency. what i have done is bought a griddle and a campchief propane triple burner. each griddle costs just 55 dollars x3 and its worth every penny and it will actually save you money. fast food is so expensive and depressing. what i do is not be impulsive and buy 2 pounds of 80/20 ground beef at walmart and the cost is still 2/3 the cost of a #1 meal. another great idea instead of wasting money with fast food is buying a 10 pound bag of raw chicken. cut the chicken up and brine the chicken in 1 gallon of water with 1/4 cup of sugar + 1/2 cup of salt with flavor you can add like lemon, garlic, onions, (acid addition) white vinegar 1/2 cup, bell peppers then let it chill in the fridge for about 6 hours and it can be done to any meat even fish just dont add acid. i have prebrined meats frozen like chicken, stakes, pork chops. since i have ice blocks in my freezer i can drop a gallon block into water then make the brine then pull the block out when the brine mixture is near 40 degrees without watering down the brine mix too much or if you add the chicken directly into the brine while its warm bacteria can start to grow = projectile vomiting ftw. if i have enough time ill just put a large stainless steel 3 gallon bowl in my fridge to drop the brine mix temp then add the chicken that is near freezing since i can precut and freeze on baking sheets then just add the frozen chicken into the brine. the chicken will quickly thaw in the brine and keep the temp down.
so why does this work? acid brine method is insane its a complete game changer for any type of meat you need to cook. you will not taste the vinegar when the meat is rinsed off but the meat will be completely moist and tender.. then you can apply this brine method to chicken then batter it then fry it - fried chicken (or not) grilled chicken or griddle pan fried chicken is excellent and easy.
another great idea on how to quit wasting money on fast food is learn how to make smash burgers. i make 4 oz balls then i place a bit of wax paper on the burger press then smash it on the griddle and pull of the paper. smash burgers cook in about 2 minutes or less per patty. so you can cook 8 at a time (4 per griddle x 2) then have the third griddle for buns or you can use the third burner to make french fries

yet another method to make insane burgers is grind your own beef and add into the mixture chunks of fat. you can also grind pork and beef and the result will have a higher fat content and the flavor will be richer with the same cook time just make sure its 160 degree minimums. bulk chuck, brisket, or pork shoulder and its cheaper then ground beef in the log. brisket is around 3 dollars a pound and pork shoulder is also around 3 dollars a pound so by grinding your own meat mix its so much cheaper then preground 80/20 (around 6.25 ish per pound) a quality stainless steel hand crank grinder is around 150 dollars but it pays itself off very fast and you can make sausage and beef jerkey from this tool.
the result is you should spend 2/3 less money and have mind blowing burgers. the equipment is a bit expensive but i have saved 1-2k per year by not eating out while the upfront cost is less then 1k. so to reach your roi it only takes 1 year of avoiding fast food. so please stop ordering out at burger king its a total waste.
also buy a french fry cutter (a commercial grade one like 100+ dollars) i mounted it to the counter and at 3 am i was making french fries its soooo easy to make. i wash the potatoes and cut out any eyes but i leave the skin on. then i throw the potatoes into the cutter and cut a small flat spot on the potato end so the potato does not wobble when you cut it. i then rinse the potatoes around 3 times and soak it for 10 minutes in cold water then pat dry and fry. i use a laser contactless thermometer and get the oil to 350 so the oil can drop into the range of 300-315 then it will climb to around 325 when the fries are done. dont add to many fries in at a time or the oil temp drop is excessive just add in around 3 medium handfuls in proportion to your pot and oil depth. some people do a double fry but i feel its not needed a single fry has a mix of hot, crispy yet delicate fries. i always feel fucking ripped off when i spend like 5 dollars and get a small "big" fries its a high margin product that is needlessly expensive. i can buy a 10 pound bag of russet or yukon gold potatoes for 4 dollars. when you make a god dam pile of hot sexy salty fries tears will come. i made chili bacon beans then i took a batch of hot fries out then covered it in cheese then put a few ladles of chili on it and it was the best ever and totally dirt cheap to make.
wow so trdr dont go to burger king make it at home instead its so easy your just getting ripped off at these fast food joints. cook it at home and the quality will be 10x just dont go crazy because you will want to do it often or you will be 100x + in pounds (moderation)
