Oh my bad Loipisdead! I just now saw your post!
I've considered propranolol before but haven't tried it yet! I'm scared it will mess up my blood pressure! That's a lot of Klonopin! How long have you been on that dose? :)
Totally understandable Noel! Although, I must admit, it's always good to see you here! :)
Yeah propanolol will lower your blood pressure, but it's used to help treat anxiety and essential tremors and a bunch of other things as well. I've been on that dose of Klonopin for about 5 years now. Trust me, I've tried literally every other drug known to man. Benzodiazepines are the only medications that help my panic attacks and let me function and allow me to live my life. I've tried to live without them, it's literally impossible. I would have a panic attack and cry just going to the gas station if I was even able to leave the house to go to the gas station. It's a double-edged sword. I've tried every every other drug, non-narcotic, narcotic, literally everything. There was a good 5 years that I refuse to take benzodiazepines because of how addictive they are but my quality of life during that period was absolutely horrible.
I'm coming to terms with the fact that I have to be on that for the rest of my life to be able to function and live and work, it sucks but it is what it is. We didn't start off at that dose right off the bat ( my psychiatrist and I ) we tested and played around with different doses for a few months before finding the proper dose. I absolutely refuse to be on Xanax, Klonopin does the trick though it lasts longer than Xanax and I don't have panic attacks anymore. I'm able to work function and live so yeah there's that
And my bad sorry that was a lot
