There's this thing called statistics. Molecules behave in accordance with random movements, reactions are caused entirely by statistical collisions with sufficient KE.

What this means - selectivity (having "molecular tweezers") to target the exact nucleobase desired is effectively impossible

These molecular biologists are pretty much all monkeys. They're the people who flunked out of physical chemistry and are pretty much just poor rats fleecing people for funding.
