At that point it becomes fallout 4 and we use bottle caps. No this is a question with the assumption the banks still operational and money is main currency.

Dig the holes weeks in advance so you have them prepped and less chance of being spotted, if possible bring a dog with you so you can always say you were out taking the dog for a walk if you are spotted walking around the area
What kind of plastic tubs? Will it survive 10 years underground?
