During the summer i keep my concentrate and rig in a mini fridge, biggest difference is not having hot water in your rig. Concentrate can be too cold in my opinion. If it sizzles when it hits the heat like water would then it’s too cold and holding some condensation.

Terps will deteriorate if left out in the open, I always keep the cap on mine and in a glass container. Terps is your flavor and personality of the weed you’re smoking, without them it’s flavorless harsh and generally a generic high
