Earth's crust being an avg of 30 km deep is pure speculation and it being just an average estimation does not proclude the possibility of it being less deep - you have no idea.

I don't know in what kind of world you live, maybe in there the law of physic are different, but in here, the physic works this way :
"pressure" like you say, which is nothing but the consequence of gravity on material, does "press " in the direction to the ground, not to the sky. Im trying to use basic words so you get my point.
therefore magma does not "pressure" the mine or the miners working in it, just like the water in a glass does not "press" on the air above it.
