you assume the earth is moving but its clearly not, the air cannot both be moving with the Earth to allow balloons to not travel
but not moving to allow airplane travel, no man made engine can resist a force of 1000 mph
when your lies you catch up to your crazy logic, it reminds me of this classic scene:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wr3edVsHkj0 Why the fuck do you think we're talking about moving 1000 mph??? Because that's the approximate speed of a fixed point at the equator relative to the central axis of the planet.
Hot air balloons move EXACTLY like I described in:

If the Earth rotates at about 1000 mph, the air above that point of land at the surface is moving generally about 900-1100, or in other words, up to about 100 mph faster or slower than the land beneath it, depending on atmospheric conditions. So when an aircraft takes flight, it takes flight already imbued with this 1000 mph speed, and the air movement will speed/hinder the aircraft up to about 100 mph relative to the land. This is super simple stuff for people who aren't retarded.
They lift off moving 1000 mph, the same as a person standing still on the surface, and then the balloon moves relative to the surface by wind and as it climbs in altitude, by higher altitude air moving slower than lower altitude air.
