Well history as simply shown that past things have become incredibly easy to explain, be it lightning, environmental events, reactions , birth defects, etc. Things that were all believed to be supernatural or "god". To not believe things we don't know now will not be explainable int the future is to dismiss history and clear evidence that that's our progression.
