tried out the new jameson caskmates. great idea aging whisky in beer barrels. gave it a bit more depth of character than the regular jameson. still no lagavulin tho... ;)

Just because you can't appreciate a good drink doesn't make us geeks.

Some recent pick-ups:

Aberlour Abundah Batch 50 -- Good, but probably won't but it again simply because I don't like having to deal with diluting my drinks -- Was bottled at 59.8%.
Glenlivet 15 French Oak Reserve -- Like most glenlivet's, pretty light. Pretty strong apple notes to it, overall pretty good.
Dewars 18 Founders Reserve -- Not a favorite, don't even remember why, but won't buy again.

I have to drive on Thanksgiving so i can't drink at dinner, but I'm going to get a bottle of something nice for when I get home. I'm gonna splurge and get some $14 Tequila I think.
