Its pretty common for something that can't be explained at the time to be attributed to supernatural, or essentially imagined. God or the creator is simply not different, when humans have no immediate answer the use ghosts, aliens, god, etc.

your statement is possibly as old as darwins book. its out dated now.
over 150 years ago now since darwins book "origin of species" atheism on the rise and the belief that life was the product of some kind of random accidental process. over 150 years of science to compare both ideas to. science has been extraordinarily cruel the atheism. living systems are of the charts in complexity and interdependence. (interdependence means all systems have to be in place at the same time or death follows)
when i was on youtube i used to issue a challenge to anybody. "show me any science that challenges scripture" challengers were scarce. the science actually was part of the reason i began to believe.
i used to also post a video by dawkins. were he was describing the complexity and function of the genetic code. i would then ask how any of it was a challenge to my belief. i will try to find that vid and post it in one of my other threads

The statement is old because its true throughout history, many things of old which were considered supernatural or an act of God are now easily explained via modern information, just like things now that are unexplained will inevitably become explainable in the future via more modern information.
