oh yikes, please spare me the religious speech in gc on a dead forum site. my response was more so wanting to reunite with my dog one day, in nobody’s power but from the love in my heart for my deceased pets.
i’m also an arab/middle easterner, so pls don’t talk to me of the bible and christianity
I must talk to you about the Bible and Christianity immediately. You decided on your own free will to visit this thread and post in this thread.
I was reading the Bible a few minutes ago and one such passage stood out to me.
It's 2 Peter 1:19-21 NIV
19 We also have the
prophetic message as something
completely reliable, and you will do well to
pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that
no prophecy of Scripture came about by the
prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human,
spoke from God as they were
carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Don't you see? When we read the words of Moses and the Prophets, they are NOT of the Prophet's own interpretation. They were carried along by the Holy Spirit. They spoke from God. That is how we know that the Bible was inspired by God, how we know the words we read are completely reliable and that we would do well to pay attention to them.
