yes, there is just one china for me, the people's republic.
it's pretty simple because at the end of WW2, china was occupied in large parts by japan.
china ended up getting independent and won. the representatives of the republic of "china", which existed before, lost.
they were either arrested or killed outright, but some of them managed to escape to the island.. taiwan, and continued their old state there.
