It will not leave unless forced out. I had a similar issue a year or two ago. Find its hiding spots and lace it with peanut butter on the rat posioning. It worked for me for 3 of them

use the glue traps then use oil to get it out of the glue trap then release it into the wild

Real talk - buy some JAWZ mouse traps on amazon. They're great. I just had my first run-in in the new house, and within two nights the traps caught all of them. They're better than the traditional metal bar traps - stronger and insta-kill. Easy to get rid of the mice afterwards - no need to touch them, just release like a hair clip.
