it seems like a pretty reasonable conversation is what i mean by not crucial. you're the guy just sit her down and talk to her and present facts. surely she can understand not having enough money and needing to cut back

not wanting to be completely broke doesn't sound "in the wrong" but i don't think she's "in the wrong" either if you aren't laying down guidelines. should be talking to each other about these things
