I didn’t expect everything to fall apart this quietly. One day it just felt like my family, her, even the version of me I knew started slipping away. Conversations at home turned into distance, then silence. It’s strange how people who used to feel like home can suddenly feel so far away, and you’re left replaying everything wondering where it went wrong.
And her… five years just gone like that. Finding out she cheated didn’t hit all at once—it just slowly settled in, and somehow that made it worse. Now every memory feels different, like it’s been twisted into something heavier. I keep catching myself questioning if any of it was real, or if I just ignored things because I didn’t want to lose her.
I tried to escape the only way I knew how—just zoning out on Diablo. But even that doesn’t work anymore. I’ll sit there playing, going through the motions, and it just feels empty. It used to help me forget everything for a bit. Now it’s just noise in the background while my mind keeps going.
Most days it’s just this constant weight I can’t shake. Not loud, not overwhelming—just there. I wake up tired, carry it through the day, and go to sleep with it still there. I don’t really know what I’m supposed to do with it yet. I just know things don’t feel the same anymore.
