This is definitely better than that thread where somebody said he solved all of maths mysteries.

Thanks mate, you’ve set the bar at a pretty high level

I don't think anybody from gc is in Japan. Half of gc doesn't leave the house let alone ever left their hometown.

Went in Jan for a couple of weeks, mostly as a snowboarding trip but spent a short time in Tokyo and did fuji and Kyoto day trips

Plan around weather with Fuji obviously, gonna be a bit of a bummer to drive around all day just to stare at some clouds from different angles

Kyoto, do touristy shit early as possible in the day to minimise crowds, doing a day trip instead of multiple days was a mistake

Foodwise it's hard to go wrong, there's so much good shit everywhere

Biggest mistake we made in general was just not going for longer tbh

Also probably best to rip the band-aid off early and get used to catching trains around the city if ur gonna be there a while

And get used to standing because the only public seating they have seems to have been designed mainly for the purpose of torturing homeless people

Cheers my Aussie brother

We aren’t doing any snow because I don’t really like the cold + couldn’t fit it in as early in the year

Mount Fuji is looking to be like 22C that day so we are cheering

Kyoto we are playing by ear but I’ll take your advice and get it done early

We are 1 day in and the train system is amazing. I’m 6”4
So have smacked my head heaps of times already. But compared to London and Australia the trains are amazing.

the bullet trains/Shinkansen are pretty cool too, definitely a better experience than flying domestically
