Okay, so it was a misunderstanding. That makes more sense.

To me, those are charging cables and charging blocks. For my norm, I have a laptop charging cable (previously stated) so no block, and my second by my bed is just a cable, no block. My night stand has USB ports. I feel like cables work better when you don't need a separate block to go with it.
