I never solved a rubiks cube in my life, I played with it for about 5 mins as a kid then put it down. I know its some kind of patern recognition puzzle that I never bothered to learn, once you know it then its easy.

I prefer hanayama puzzles they are more interesting

I never solved a rubiks cube in my life, I played with it for about 5 mins as a kid then put it down. I know its some kind of patern recognition puzzle that I never bothered to learn, once you know it then its easy.

Yeah. It seems impressive until you learn how to do it then it's not impressive anymore. And literally anyone can learn. I watched 1 video back in high school and was able to effortlessly complete these within a couple minutes.

And when people do it blindfolded is even less impressive, because the only way that's possible is to just remember the predetermined pattern. It would be impossible to actually solve a random cube blindfolded.

this guy made a machine to solve them super fast. i think with the correct algorithm it could always be solved.

I learned it takes multiple, not just 1. I think I learned 3 or 4 to finish solving. First was the bottom line + 1 side, then the second row, then 2 for the top (I think it was 1 for the corners and 1 for the centers) idk it's been awhile.
