Tried it again this morning. This time, i took some of the sliced chuck roll beef and heated in a little canola oil. They turned better. Still a bit tough though. The next one, i will cook in broth, a long time, or something like that. I read up on it, and they should be cooked like that, for a long time.
However, i slied 3 relatively thing slices of the sausage, and heated in the pan. Man, there is so much fat in'em ^^ Like, 50% of them is just pure fat....
But at least, they tasted better. I hate that man, but gordon ramsay did say something that i keep in cooking; Colour means flavour. Fry it, get colour on it, it enhances the flavour. That dang maillard effect or whatever they call it.
So that was a decent BREKKIIEEE xD that dumb english word ^^ they got so many dumb words xD
Brats xD Bratwursts ^^ That's funny ^^
Oh yes, in norwegian; "Mekanisk utbenet kjøtt" ... "Mechanically boned-out meat"... MUK for short... nasty nasty stuff. Again, i will admit the one positive thing about it, it is a genius way to ..... well, i don't want to use that word, but, SELL the unwanted waste products from the food processing industry. And they sure nailed it.
I will not say that our main brand wiener sausages does not taste .... okay. They taste okay. It's not that that is the problem.
The problem with them, for me at least, is howi FEEL after eating them. About once a year, i get a hankering for'em. So i get'em and go to town. But i feel like literal shit afterwards. Here's the main thing: It feels like my body is full of GLUE afterwards ^^ I don't know why. It just feels like that. And my brain doesn't work. It's like, zero nutrient value, just a bunch of ground up fat, sinew and whatever else they put in it.
BUT! Last year, a new shopping mall opened near the city center where i live. And a new meat store opened there, a well-reputed one. And they've had offers on their wiener brand. Which i hesitantly tried. And they were a different story. Now i don't want to go and speculate that they do not use MUK either... but at least, i FELT differently after eating'em, and they tasted better also. So i can at least ASSUME that they use less of that nasty stuff and more clean meat. They do cost like, 30% more, so it should be a given.
But yes. Good sausages does exist. But i am about to buy that dang book and start readin to make'em myself.
Ah nice! Well, it's like, i write 99% of comments here on the computer. I review some on the phone. And i noticed, damn! The text CHANGES on the phone .. like the web reader on the phone can actually implement and read the different fonts there ... i think it was the cursive one, looks like scribble-scrabble, lol.
I'll try to find out which font i used there and keep using it. For referencee, i'll write'em from now in. This is monospace in this post. Size 3. Phat text. Or "bold" ^^ ... and centered ^^
