you peasants never heard of a PS1?

I never had PS' or Xbox's growing up. Was a Nintendo and PC family. None of those other games ever interested me other than maybe the Final Fantasys. Got to play a little of FFX at my cousins house once a long time ago, it was pretty fun.

Ps1 and ps2 were both groundbreaking

N64 and Xbox respectively piggy-backed off their success

But still, the Dreamcast was the best console that never was

PS2 by multiple miles.

I have a PS1 with a flip switch for burned games.

I think he is making it up. I googled Ps1 flip switch and nothing came up that had to do with what he was saying. The closest thing I could find was something about if a game didn't run, you turn the Ps1 upside down so it could read better and could actually read the disc. Nothing about running burned copies.
