Well that's called ego an entitlement. I give plenty of gifts to family and friends just not necessarily on their birthdays. They all know this I don't require them to give me anything either.

I know it must be difficult for you to grasp the concept because you are conditioned to a ritual. If anyone does something outside of that ritual you lose your mind.

For me it's just another day another dollar for you it's a religious requirement and you will use emotional blackmail if someone doesn't shower you with presents. You were born big whoop.

It's definitely about gifts its what birthdays are. Making someone feel "special" for being born every year by singing a song, cake, party, presents pampering with compliments etc etc All presents both physical and verbal.

Take the pause and just imagine a world where not everyone is going to celebrate birthdays and it's OK to be wrong no need to shame them.

No, celebrating another life is not about gifts. That is of course what a high percent of the population does, but if you model Jesus, celebrating the life of a friend/family member/stranger is not what it is supposed to be about.

Being happy for someone doesn't mean you require to celebrating their birthday. Why do you require to only love someone on a particular day and sing a particular song and have candles and give gifts etc. The answer is you don't. Did you know you can give gifts or tell people they are special and show your affection at any time? What a concept must be so difficult to grasp
