strats really depend on how much you already know about learning and whether or not you need to take notes in class or just naturally laern from listening and applying the knowledge.

imo you should always do the reading required, do the assignments required, etc.

then acknowledge that you have youtube as a source. watch other people solve shit in different ways similar to what you are working on if you are doing math. if you are doing english, just simply read more. look into other peoples insights on the book, it doesn't really ruin it.

if learning psych, business, law, etc.... apply above.

main strategies of learning are doing it yourself. reading about it. watching others do it and them explaining it. explaining things to others (this is lowkey underestimated learning strat) then breaking things down and learning over time, learn the logic of what you are doing and the foundational concepts, use those to leverage your understanding of new topics and concepts that follow up on the field. always think backwards and forward, tie in subjects together and learn how they link together in logic and analysis.

You have to actually be interested in whatever it is you are studying.

This really isn't true. It's possible to study a topic and get good grades regardless of interest.

Many people have to study subjects they don't find interesting, many people have to do work that they don't find interesting. They still manage to do it.

Don't allow yourself to get distracted. Turn notifications off on your phone, don't surf the web, etc. Do your work and if you get distracted let it only be by your mind wandering, but sit in the seat and when your mind stops wandering start doing the work again.

Acceptable reasons to stop doing the work or to get up and walk away is to sleep or go for a walk(in silence, no music or podcasts).

It all comes down to habits and discipline. The first thing you should do in the morning is study, and if you work then study first thing when you get home.

You can't control how often your mind will wander or how much work you'll actually get done, but you can chose to not give in to the temptation to check something on your phone or computer. Over time it does get easier to pay attention to studying, but it's like a muscle that you have to build up.

Pomodoro is a decent way to stay focused. Essentially you set a timer for 25-50 minutes and then work until the timer goes off and then you take a short 5-10 minute break. After 3 or 4 25-50 minute work sessions you take a longer 30-60 minute break. I find when my mind wanders and I want to check jsp or my email or look something up it's easy to tell myself "when this work session is over I can do that" and then I go back to studying/working.

I agree that it's possible if you have the required discipline and willpower. The vast majority of people don't

Many people do do as such, but they generally do not excel at it. Typically you have to be genuinely interested to excel, again unless you have an iron will

Stop using social media and apps that train you to have a short attention span

When you look at 10 seconds reels or scroll past picture after picture and read a sentence about what it is you train your brain to need constant novel stimulus
