A 3 hour workday would grind North American economies to a halt. It is already hard enough to meet the industrial demand for energy and chemicals. The only way that can work is if technology replaces manpower and a lot of people don't like that idea either. A huge economic problem as I see it is people being employed in useless jobs like the food service industry. Sorry but a waiter is the kind of job that is completely unneeded and that person's skills could be put to practical use such as building or engineering.

Ai and robotics are coming to replace most those easy jobs

I would prefer a human waiter tho

AI and robots are going to replace more jobs than people can imagine. A universal basic income (UBI) program will be required at some point in the near future. If UBI isn't implemented, crime will skyrocket.

So let me be specific. Do you mean 3 hour work days are the max? Or an option? (As in I could elect to work my 24 hour shifts if I wanted.)

That being said, are people who are coming in for 3 hours being paid the same as someone coming in for 8/12/24 and etc?

Because there are tons of industries that would completely fall apart.

No, we are becoming obsolete dude. If you really look into robotics (Boston Dynamics, Asimo, etc), it's getting pretty frickin' sketchy. Now that the AI side of things has become more popular, that will be implemented as well.

yeah i dont disagree with you im just saying in my particular occupation they cant improve it with AI or any machine... not yet anyway

i dont think AI or robots could replace "trades" eg builders, plumbers, electricians ect (a skill you could trade if money wasn't a thing)
even if they could i dont see why that would be bad?
