They claimed that rainbows prove a sky-dome, because it's impossible to create a rainbow using an artificial light source and just water. They claimed a mirror is necessary to produce a rainbow, which proves that there's a giant mirror involved in making naturally occurring rainbows, hence the sky-dome must be real.

Uhhh, have they never played in a sprinkler? Or Googled a prism?

A sprinkler is outside, and any light coming from the sun is reflected by the sky-dome and thus creates a rainbow. Has to be artificial light.
I brought up a prism, which temporarily threw a wrench in their gears, but they quickly recovered and moved the goalposts. "A prism is just like a mirror, both are made of glass". I suggested an acrylic prism. "Look, the challenge was always to create a rainbow with just light and water, nothing else. No plastic or glass or diamonds, etc. Light and water".

So here we are. I suspect another goalpost move is incoming.

The challenge was to make a rainbow indoor with just water and light , which you couldn't do - so you moved the goalposts by suggesting a prism and not using the material in the experiment. You're good at failing.

And the reason a prism + light can produce a rainbow is because it has similar refraction and dispersion qualities as a mirror reflecting light in water, do you science?

Finally i get you to say that, if the earth is moving at 500,000 mph and as you put it "The atmosphere is moving the same speed and direction as Earth"

Then an airplane, traveling in the sky in the opposite direction of the air that is moving at 500,000 mph would need to resist that force.
