That's exactly right. You're special pleading here. You're trying to pretend that "dark matter" can affect light waves coming from the sun to the extent that it creates a shadow, but not to the extent that we can see it. It's motherfucking MAGIC!
Here are the two competing "hypotheses":
Mine: at regular, accurately predicted intervals, partial and full lunar and solar eclipses occur because of the geometry between the three bodies (sun, moon and Earth) aligns in just the right way for sunlight to be blocked.
Yours: a magical "dark matter" object (for which YOU YOURSELF have no understanding) comes along and produces these eclipses for BOTH the Earth and the moon, blocking light even though it is entirely invisible, and only comes around at the otherwise accurately predicted times of ball Earth eclipses.
